Economic Liberators Forum Appeals IEC’s Denial of Party Registration

The Economic Liberators Forum (ELF) has filed an appeal against the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)’s decision to reject their application for party registration.

Earlier this month, the IEC turned down the ELF’s registration following objections from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) over similarities in branding.

The ELF is now challenging the ruling in hopes of overturning the initial denial and gaining official recognition as a political party ahead of the national elections.
