Eurovision Entrant Olly Alexander to Represent UK with New Song ‘Dizzy’

Multi-award winning pop star Olly Alexander is set to proudly represent the United Kingdom with his new song ‘Dizzy‘ at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.

This year, Sweden, the seven-time winner of Eurovision, hosts the competition, which coincides with the 50-year anniversary of ABBA‘s iconic win with ‘Waterloo‘.

Olly Alexander, known for his work with Years & Years and hits like ‘King‘, will be showcasing ‘Dizzy’ as the UK’s entry in the much-loved music competition.

Hosting the Grand Final will be commentator Graham Norton, accompanied by Scott Mills and Rylan on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.

In an interview, Olly expresses his excitement at the opportunity to represent his country and his love for the song ‘Dizzy’.

He plans to deliver a memorable performance at Eurovision, aiming to surprise and captivate the audience with a unique show.

While reflecting on past Eurovision entries, Olly shares his admiration for artists like Mahmood and recalls his childhood affinity for Eurovision with memories of Gina G‘s ‘Ooh Aah… Just A Little Bit’.

As the competition heats up, fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming Grand Final, scheduled to air live on BBC.
