As the Kansas City Chiefs continue their dominant run in the 2024 NFL season, a familiar face is expressing interest in rejoining the team. Daurice Fountain, a wide receiver who previously played for the Chiefs, has made it clear that he wants another chance to play alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid.

Fountain, who will turn 29 on December 22, had a stint with the Chiefs in 2021 and 2022 after starting his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. He was selected by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2018 Draft with the 159th pick. Andy Reid has shown a preference for players who are already familiar with the team’s system, which might work in Fountain’s favor.

Fountain’s interest in returning to the Chiefs was made public through a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), where he watched the Chiefs’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ He wrote, “Somebody tell (general manager Brett) Veach to text me,” and also praised Mahomes, calling him “the greatest…”
