Former Spinner Graeme Swann's Response To Stuart Broad Sparks Conversation After Umpiring Decision In Rajkot Test

In a recent turn of events during the Rajkot Test match, former England spinner Graeme Swann made an interesting comment on his former teammate Stuart Broad. Swann’s comment came after Broad questioned the umpiring decision regarding Ollie Pope‘s dismissal in the match.

During India vs. England Test match, Ollie Pope got out on the final delivery of the 30th over to Mohammed Siraj. The third umpire did not give Pope out, but India successfully reviewed the decision through the DRS system. Pope did not seem happy with the umpire’s call.

Reacting to the umpiring decision, Stuart Broad took to social media and expressed his disagreement with the decision. Broad mentioned in his tweet that he felt the decision was too high as per the three reds rule employed in DRS technology.

In response to Broad’s tweet, Graeme Swann, their former teammate, responded hilariously by saying, “You used to nick it to slip and not think you were out mate.” He referred to an incident from the 2013 Ashes series where Broad was caught in the slip on Austin Elgar’s delivery but was not given out by the umpire as the ball was ambiguously close to the wicketkeeper.

The conversation between Swann and Broad brought back memories from their time together on the field. Regardless of their light-hearted banter, both players have been known for their skills and contributions to the game.
