Formula 1 Celebrates 75 Years with Spectacular Season Launch in London

London, England – Formula 1 is set to kick off its 75th anniversary season with a groundbreaking event, F1 75 Live, on February 18, 2025. The pre-season launch will take place at London’s O2 Arena, bringing together all ten teams, drivers, and team principals for a night of celebrations and entertainment.
The two-hour show is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM GMT. Each team will have a seven-minute slot to unveil their 2025 car liveries, while notable performances will be featured throughout the event. Comedian Jack Whitehall will host the evening, which will also showcase music from Kane Brown, Machine Gun Kelly, Take That, and renowned composer Bryan Tyler.
“This event marks a historic moment for Formula 1 as we celebrate three-quarters of a century of racing,” said Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. “We are excited to bring all the teams and fans together in such a vibrant setting and cannot wait to unveil the new designs that represent the spirit of our sport.”
Fans who missed out on tickets, which sold out quickly, will still have the chance to view the event via live stream on Formula 1’s official website and social media channels. The teams will depart the O2 Arena after the launch, returning to prepare for pre-season testing in Bahrain from February 26-28.
Lewis Hamilton is expected to make a significant appearance during the event, marking his first public outing with Ferrari after transitioning from Mercedes. With excitement surrounding his partnership with teammate Charles Leclerc, the reveal of the Ferrari livery is highly anticipated.
Toto Wolff, Mercedes team principal, indicated that their livery will also reflect changes made in light of their 2024 performance, sparking curiosity among fans and rivals alike. Likewise, new driver lineups across several teams will foster intrigue about the upcoming racing season.
Noteworthy rookie drivers set to debut include Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes and Ollie Bearman at Haas. Meanwhile, Gabriel Bortoleto will race for Kick Sauber and Isack Hadjar will be part of Racing Bulls. Fans eagerly await how these talent shifts will influence team dynamics.
F1 75 Live aims to provide a festival atmosphere rather than just a typical vehicle unveiling. With planned musical acts and an innovative format, organizers hope to captivate an audience both in the arena and watching online.
“While some teams may choose to host individual launches, F1 75 Live represents a new way to engage with our fans,” added Domenicali. “We’re looking forward to a memorable event to celebrate the rich history of Formula 1 and set the stage for the season ahead.”
As the countdown to the Australian Grand Prix begins, anticipation builds for the high-speed action that awaits fans throughout the 2025 season, starting with the new design evolutions and strategic partnerships revealed during F1 75 Live.
