Frances Marie Garcia, 78, Remembered at Celebration of Life

Visalia, California — Frances Marie Garcia, 78, passed away on April 30, 2025, in her hometown of Visalia. Born on May 12, 1946, in Merced, California, she was the cherished daughter of Tiodoro H. Garcia and Elisa R. Garcia.

Frances devoted her life to her work and community. She held various jobs throughout the years, working in fields, orchards, and packing sheds. She also served at General Electric, the County of Madera, and California Rural Legal Assistance. Additionally, she worked in retail from Laughlin, Nevada, to Artesia, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Garcia of Morro Bay, California. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on June 7, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Visalia Country Club, located at 625 N. Ranch St. in Visalia.

The ceremony will include a dove release, and attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors, reflecting Frances’s vibrant spirit.
