Freddie Freeman’s Wife Celebrates Dodgers’ Game 2 Victory in World Series
TORONTO, Canada — Chelsea Freeman was excited Saturday night after her husband, Freddie Freeman, and the Los Angeles Dodgers evened the World Series at one game apiece with a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
In a post on her Instagram Stories, Chelsea expressed her enthusiasm with a jubilant “Yayayayyyyyy!!!!” alongside a video of pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto celebrating his impressive performance at Rogers Centre.
Yamamoto, who is earning a salary of $325 million, pitched nine strong innings and struck out eight batters, marking his second consecutive complete game. “My pitching style is just to keep attacking the zone,” Yamamoto stated through an interpreter. “To be honest, I was not thinking I could complete the game because my pitch count racked up kind of quickly. But I’m very happy I completed the game.”
Freddie Freeman contributed to the win by hitting a double and scoring a run, shaking off an earlier error during the game. The Dodgers aim to win their second straight World Series title, having defeated the Yankees in five games last year.
Chelsea, a former real estate agent turned entrepreneur, has been a consistent source of support for Freddie during his career. Their journey as parents has not been without challenges, especially last year when their son Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a condition that can lead to muscle weakness or paralysis.
Max spent over a week in the Pediatric ICU but has since showed significant progress, with Chelsea reporting back in early 2025 that he was doing great and continuing physical therapy.
As the World Series continues, the Freeman family’s football journey captures both heartwarming moments and challenges. Game 3 is set to take place on the West Coast Monday night, where Freddy will hope to perform well as the Dodgers aim for victory.
