Gonzaga Arizona State Basketball Game

TEMPE, Ariz. — Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team is preparing to face Arizona State University on Friday, November 14, at 8 p.m. Pacific Time. This marks Gonzaga’s first road game of the season.

Gonzaga enters the matchup with a perfect record of 3-0. The Bulldogs recently secured a commanding 90-63 victory over No. 23 Creighton, where standout player Graham Ike scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Braden Huff added 14 points, while Mario Saint-Supery contributed 13 points off the bench.

The team has climbed to No. 2 in both KenPom’s rankings and the ESPN BPI rating. Gonzaga’s strong defensive play ranks fifth nationally, while its offense is ninth.

In the win against Creighton, Ike surpassed 2,000 career points, currently standing at 2,011. He is second among active NCAA Division I scorers, just behind Indiana’s Tucker DeVries. Ike’s 927 rebounds also rank him second among active players. Earlier this season, he was named a preseason All-American and appears on several watch lists.

On the other hand, Arizona State holds a record of 2-0, having recently defeated Utah Tech 81-66. Massamba Diop led the Sun Devils with 18 points, while Santiago Trouet added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Transfer Moe Odum also had a strong outing, scoring 14 points and contributing six assists and rebounds.

This matchup is notable as it is only the second meeting between Gonzaga and Arizona State; their last encounter resulted in an 88-80 victory for Gonzaga in Spokane. After this game, Gonzaga will host Southern Utah on Monday at 6 p.m.
