Governor Murphy emphasized that the tournament, set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will be meticulously organized to ensure a secure environment for both players and fans.

Over the weekend, Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a campaign rally turned violent. Additionally, chaos erupted at a Copa America match between Colombia and Uruguay in Charlotte, prompting concerns over security and fan behavior. The incident involved players like Darwin Nunez from Liverpool, who intervened to protect family members amidst the turmoil.

Speaking from Berlin ahead of the Euro 2024 final, where Spain faced off against England, Governor Murphy condemned the recent violence, stating that such actions have no place in public discussion.
