San Diego, CAHirving Lozano, the prominent Mexican forward currently playing for San Diego FC in Major League Soccer, spoke candidly about the possibility of returning to Liga MX. Lozano, known affectionately as ‘Chucky,’ has become a key player for his team, which is competing in the MLS for the first time this season.

In an interview with TUDN, the 30-year-old forward expressed his openness to representing some of Mexico’s most historic clubs. Lozano mentioned his willingness to play for either Chivas or América, stating, “I do not close the doors to any team, they are great clubs, why not? Chivas would be a beautiful experience, and América, the biggest in Mexico, I would like to be there. But time will tell.”

Lozano began his career with the Tuzos del Pachuca, where he played in the U-18 and U-20 categories before making his debut in the senior team. Over his career with Pachuca, he appeared in 149 matches, scoring 43 goals and providing 31 assists.

Reflecting on his journey, Lozano recognized the crucial role Pachuca played in his development, saying, “I left Mexico very young. Returning to my country and having that different experience would be something I’d like. I am very grateful to Pachuca and Jesús; they gave me everything: education, home, food, and the opportunity to debut in the first division.”
