Hogan Eyes Coleman Medal Glory

Jesse Hogan is really making waves in the AFL this season! The former Fremantle forward is looking to take home the prestigious Coleman Medal, and he’s just about locked it in after a stellar game against his old team.

On Saturday, Hogan scored an impressive six goals in a match that helped Greater Western Sydney clinch a narrow nine-point victory over Fremantle. With this performance, he now sits a whopping 13 goals ahead of Gold Coast’s Ben King, as the season nears its end.

This marks the second time this year Hogan has kicked six goals in a game, and it’s clear that he’s back to his best. Once a Rising Star at Melbourne, Hogan made the move to Fremantle to be closer to family, but after some ups and downs, he found new life with the Giants.

Adam Kingsley, the GWS coach, couldn’t be prouder of Hogan. He praised not just his skills, but also his dedication and hard work. “He deserves it because he prepares so well and is so selfless,” Kingsley noted. Hogan often creates chances for his teammates, sacrificing personal glory for the team’s success.

Longmuir, who coached Hogan during his last season at Fremantle, acknowledged his talent and tough playing style. He highlighted Hogan’s ability to challenge defenders consistently, saying, “He’s done a great job to put his best out on the footy field.”
