Hungary vs Germany: Germany Aims to Maintain Unbeaten Run in UEFA Nations League
On Tuesday, November 19, Hungary will host Germany in the final match of the UEFA Nations League group stage at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. Germany, under the management of Julian Nagelsmann, has already secured the top spot in League A Group 3 with an impressive 13 points from four wins and one draw. Their last outing was a historic 7-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina, the largest win in the history of the men’s UEFA Nations League.
Hungary, managed by Marco Rossi, is set to finish third in the group with five points from one win, two draws, and two defeats. Their recent performance saw them suffer a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Netherlands, which eliminated them from quarterfinal contention.
Despite having nothing to play for in terms of group standings, Germany is expected to maintain their strong form. Nagelsmann may rotate his squad, with Jonathan Tah suspended and Joshua Kimmich likely to be rested due to a minor ankle injury. Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck is expected to replace Tah, and Benjamin Henrichs could start in place of Kimmich.
Hungary will also make some changes, with Attila Fiola returning from suspension and likely to start in defense. Bendegúz Bolla could replace Loic Nego at right-wing-back. Dominik Szoboszlai, the Liverpool midfielder, will be a key player for Hungary in this match.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 2:45 PM ET (8:45 PM local time) and can be streamed live on Fubo in the United States. Germany is favored to win, with odds of -200 against Hungary’s +550 and a draw at +360.
Predictions suggest Germany will continue their dominant performance, with many expecting a comfortable win for the visitors. The last meeting between the two teams in September saw Germany win 5-0, and a similar outcome is anticipated in this encounter.
