IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Results Announced for 2024
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially announced the results for the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) Clerk, also known as Office Assistant, preliminary examination for the year 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their results through the IBPS’s official website, ibps.in.
According to information from IBPS, the preliminary examination was held nationwide on August 10, 17, and 18, 2024. This examination is part of a larger recruitment drive aimed at filling 9,923 vacancies for both officer and assistant positions in various regional rural banks across India.
Successful candidates from the preliminary exam will proceed to the main examination, scheduled to take place on October 6, 2024. The release of the prelims results is a significant step for candidates who will now prepare for the next stage of the selection process.
For those interested in checking their individual results, the process is straightforward: candidates are required to visit the IBPS website, locate the ‘IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Result 2024′ link on the homepage, and input their registration number or roll number along with either their date of birth or password to access the results.
Besides announcing the RRB Clerk prelims results, the IBPS has scheduled additional exams in the coming weeks. The main examination for officers under Scale I (commonly referred to as the IBPS RRB PO Mains) is tentatively planned for September 29, 2024.
The recruitment cycle follows a rigorous examination structure where candidates must secure minimum qualifying scores in both the preliminary and main exams to proceed in the recruitment process. Notably, there is a marking penalty involved, where 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer in the objective test module in both exams.
For those progressing to the main examination phase, IBPS will soon release call letters along with an information handout on their official site. These documents will outline specific details and requirements for the forthcoming main examination, which will last for two hours and encompass various subjects such as Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Language Skills (English and Hindi), as well as Numerical Ability.
