Ice Cube Believes Kendrick Lamar is Winning Rap Beef with Drake
Ice Cube, the legendary West Coast rapper, recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
During an appearance on The Big Podcast With Shaq to promote his basketball league The Big 3, Ice Cube expressed his approval of rap battles, stating that they are the essence of the game.
Ice Cube acknowledged that Kendrick Lamar is currently leading the battle, landing more hard-hitting and effective punches than Drake. However, he emphasized that the competition is not over and Drake could still come back.
Ice Cube, known for his iconic diss track ‘No Vaseline’ aimed at N.W.A. and Ruthless Records, advised Kendrick Lamar to stay prepared for whatever might come from Drake, drawing on his own experience in rap beefs.
Ice Cube also recalled the time he blocked Shaq from releasing a Dr. Dre produced track titled ‘That’s Gangsta’ when the former Los Angeles Laker was exploring a music career, deeming it off-brand for Shaq’s image.
Shaq, a former NBA player turned artist, has recently garnered attention for collaborating with various musicians, including his recent song ‘You Can’t Stop the Reign.’
