India Clinches Final T20I Against South Africa to Level Series
India‘s Women’s Cricket Team secured a commanding victory over South Africa in the final T20 International match to level the series on Tuesday. The thrilling contest took place in Chennai at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The Indian team won the toss and elected to bowl first. With an exceptional bowling performance, they restricted South Africa to 84 runs in 17.1 overs. Pooja Vastrakar (4 wickets) and Radha Yadav (3 wickets) led the bowling attack for India.
In response, India chased down the target of 85 runs without losing a wicket in just 10.5 overs. Shafali Verma (27 runs) and Smriti Mandhana (57 runs) played crucial innings to guide India to victory.
Notable performances from Harmanpreet Kaur‘s side throughout the series, including standout contributions from Deepthi Sharma and Umesh Yadav behind the stumps, ensured a competitive contest and ended the series with a 1-1 draw.
