India to Play Their First T20I Match Against Zimbabwe in Harare

India‘s young cricket team is all set to play their first T20I match against Zimbabwe in Harare as they embark on a series of five T20I matches in the Zimbabwe tour. Shubman Gill leads the team, comprising players who are part of the squad mentored by Lakshman to fill the void left by the retirements of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravi Jadeja post the T20 World Cup 2024.

The match is scheduled to start at 4:30 PM in Harare, marking the beginning of the series that will solely take place in Harare. The first match is set to be played on July 6. With a total of 50 T20I matches played in Harare so far, the average score for the first innings stands at 152.

The pitch at Harare Sports Club has proven to be supportive to both batsmen and bowlers with an average second innings score of 130 and a highest second innings score of 194.
