Origami Workshop

The Japanese Language School of Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1989, continues to promote the Japanese language and culture in Chennai.

Located at 21, K B Dasan Road, Teynampet, Chennai-18, the school provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes both spoken and written Japanese. Students have the opportunity to prepare for the globally recognized Japan Foundation’s Japanese Language Proficiency Tests, ranging from Basic N5 level to Advanced N1 level.

In response to the growing presence of Japanese companies in Tamilnadu, the school has observed an increasing interest among students in learning the Japanese language. In addition to language instruction, the school offers specialized courses tailored to the specific needs of service and manufacturing organizations.

The school is also dedicated to cultural education, offering classes on various aspects of Japanese arts and culture including Japanese Anime, Bonsai, Ikebana, and calligraphy.

On September 1st, a special event will take place: the ‘Origami Workshop’ from 10.00 am to 11.30 am at the Chamber. This workshop will provide participants with an introduction to the art of paper folding.

There is no admission fee for the workshop, however, participants must register in advance. A total of 60 participants will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis. Prior registration and confirmation are required. For further details, interested individuals may contact A. Saravanan at 98843 94717.
