Kaizer Chiefs Vs Amazulu Moses Mabhida Stadium

Kaizer Chiefs are set to continue their promising start to the Betway Premiership season as they visit AmaZulu FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this Wednesday evening. The much-anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 19:30 local time.

Chiefs began their campaign with a comeback victory against Marumo Gallants, securing a 2-1 win. The game saw an early advantage by Seka Sithole for Gallants, but Mduduzi Shabalala managed to equalize for Chiefs within 17 minutes. The home team capitalized on Gallants being reduced to ten men when Joseph Malongoane received a red card, with Mfundo Vilakazi scoring the decisive goal for Amakhosi.

The hosts, AmaZulu, are aiming to recuperate from their opening defeat against Polokwane City, having lost 2-1 despite taking the initial lead through Etiosa Ighodaro‘s goal. However, Bulelani Nikani and Thabang Matuludi ensured a win for Polokwane City.

Reflecting on their encounters last season, the Chiefs managed to take four points from AmaZulu, courtesy of a 3-0 victory at home and a 1-1 draw away. As history stands, Chiefs have clinched victory in 20 out of the 37 encounters against AmaZulu, with AmaZulu taking five wins and 12 matches ending in a draw.

Both teams have disclosed their starting line-ups for tonight’s clash. AmaZulu’s line-up includes Mzimela, Mobara, Hanamub, Gumede, Fielies, Motshwari, Ngema, Brooks, Moremi, Mbanjwa, and Ighodaro, with substitutions available from Mothwa, Mphahlele, Sikhakhane, Mngonyama, Human, Sithole, Haba, Dion, and Ndlovu.
