Kansas State Opens Basketball Season Against UNC Greensboro
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University will kick off its 2025-26 men’s basketball season as the Wildcats host UNC Greensboro on Tuesday, November 4, at 7:01 p.m. CT. This game marks the first meeting between the two schools.
The Wildcats enter the season eager to improve from last year’s 16-17 overall record. Kansas State will look to utilize its home-court advantage at Bramlage Coliseum, where it finished 10-5 last season.
Tickets for the matchup are available starting at $14. Fans can purchase them online or visit the Bramlage Coliseum Ticket Office during weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and on the K-State Sports Network, with flagship stations including KMAN 1350 and WIBW 580.
Kansas State, led by head coach Jerome Tang, aims to impress in this opening game. Last season, the Wildcats allowed opponents to average 69.6 points per game while shooting 43.3% from the field.
UNC Greensboro, meanwhile, hopes to build on a successful last season where they recorded a 20-12 overall mark, finishing 13-5 in the Southern Conference. The Spartans come into this game with high hopes, having been picked to finish fifth in the preseason SoCon poll.
Head coach Mike Jones of UNC Greensboro has only three returning lettermen from last year’s squad, setting a challenging stage for the 2025-26 season.
The game will be a test for both teams as they seek early momentum. For Kansas State fans, the excitement is palpable as they anticipate watching their team execute its game plan.
As the teams prepare to face off, players and coaches from both sides are hopeful for a competitive matchup to start the season on a high note.
