Karol G's Private Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Van Nuys Airport

Latin music sensation Karol G‘s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, as reported by KABC. The incident occurred after the jet, departing from Hollywood Burbank Airport, encountered an issue while en route with 16 passengers aboard. Identified by its heart logo, the aircraft experienced a cockpit smoke report but managed to execute a safe landing around 9 pm.

Amidst her North America stadium tour, Karol G encountered the frightening situation but emerged unharmed. Photos captured by KABC’s AIR7 HD helicopter showed the singer outside the plane, engaged in a phone conversation. Scheduled to return to Los Angeles on March 6, Karol G is set to be honored as Billboard‘s Woman of the Year at the upcoming Women In Music Event in the city.

Over the past year, Karol G has achieved remarkable success, including a Billboard 200 chart-topping debut in 2023 with her album ‘Mañana Será Bonito.’ Earning an impressive $146.9 million on her sold-out stadium tour, selling nearly a million tickets on 19 shows alone, she dominated Billboard’s year-end charts as the top female Latin artist. Notably, she secured multiple wins at the Latin Grammys and the Grammys, setting milestones as the first woman in various categories.

At the time of the emergency landing in Van Nuys, Karol G’s team had not responded to inquiries. The incident did not deter the Colombian superstar’s accolades, adding a dramatic twist to her already illustrious year in music.
