Katy Perry Discusses Relationship and Breakup with Orlando Bloom
Katy Perry recently opened up about her relationship with Orlando Bloom on a podcast, revealing that her “love language” involves help around the house, and playfully alluding to intimate rewards for such assistance.
Perry expressed her appreciation for Bloom’s efforts by stating, “If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to…” suggesting a specific reward in their relationship. In response to her comments, Bloom humorously remarked on her Instagram, “I’ve cleaned the whole house.”
In her discussion, Perry also reflected on their breakup in 2017. She emphasized the personal growth she experienced during their time apart, explaining that she would not be alive without the changes she made during that period.
Initially, Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016 but separated in 2017 after which Bloom enrolled in the Hoffman Institute, a place aimed at personal development. Perry joined the institute later on and credited it with significantly changing her life.
Perry noted her acknowledgment of Bloom’s strengths, highlighting how he can provide stability during her moments of vulnerability, which she appreciates as she often assumes a dominant role in their relationship.
Bloom and Perry share a daughter, Daisy, born in 2020, marking a significant chapter in their relationship.
