Keke Palmer Promotes New Comedy ‘One of Them Days’ in Atlanta

Keke Palmer made a striking appearance in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this week to promote her upcoming R-rated comedy film, ‘One of Them Days.’ The multi-talented actress and singer turned heads in a vintage red John Galliano dress from the fall 2002 collection, paired with Christian Louboutin‘s Condora Strap heels.

Palmer’s chic ensemble featured a one-shoulder red midi dress, fitted at the torso and flowing loosely toward the bottom. Her hair was styled in a discrete bun with a single bang, completing the elegant look. Stylist Zoe Costello chose the red patent leather Louboutin heels, which feature a sharply pointed toe, a low-cut vamp, and a signature red sole. The shoes, with a nearly four-inch beveled heel, have been a popular choice on red carpets, including appearances by Nicole Kidman and Cailee Spaeny.

‘One of Them Days,’ directed by Lawrence Lamont, follows best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) as they navigate a chaotic day after discovering Alyssa’s boyfriend has spent their rent money. The film, written by Syreeta Singleton and produced by Issa Rae, is set to release during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, competing against Universal/Blumhouse’s ‘Wolfman’ and Paramount‘s ‘September 5.’

Sony Pictures is aiming to revive the R-rated comedy genre, which has seen a decline in recent years. The studio’s previous success with Jennifer Lawrence‘s ‘No Hard Feelings,’ which grossed $50 million domestically, signals hope for ‘One of Them Days.’ However, the film’s Hollywood premiere, originally scheduled for January 13, was postponed due to ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

Palmer’s promotional tour comes as the entertainment industry faces disruptions from natural disasters and scheduling changes. The Critics Choice Awards were also rescheduled to January 26, while other premieres, including ‘Wolf Man’ and ‘Unstoppable,’ have been affected by the wildfires.
