The Kid Laroi Performance

The Kid LAROI, an acclaimed pop artist from Australia, has been confirmed as the headline performer for the entertainment segment at the 2024 NRL Grand Final. The event is set to be held this weekend and features the Grammy-nominated artist, known for his global success and breakthrough in the American music industry.

Born in Sydney‘s inner west, The Kid LAROI has gained international recognition for his chart-topping hits. Notably, his track ‘Stay’ topped the charts in both Australia and the United States and secured the second position in the UK. The 21-year-old artist’s involvement in the NRL Grand Final marks a distinct choice compared to the AFL, which has selected international pop star Katy Perry for its pre-game entertainment.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo expressed enthusiasm for The Kid LAROI’s role, stating that the artist “personifies the energy, excitement and ambition of Rugby League.” Abdo remarked on The Kid LAROI’s connection to the sport, highlighting his longstanding support for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. “He is set to supercharge an unbelievable day of Grand Final football,” Abdo added.

The Kid LAROI himself shared his excitement, describing his upcoming performance as a “pinch myself moment.” A passionate fan of Rugby League, he revealed his childhood dreams of playing the sport and making music. “It really doesn’t get much better than that,” he said.

The Kid LAROI’s performance is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm AEST, adding to the series of events planned for the NRL Grand Final day.
