WASHINGTON, D.C. — Kiki Iriafen, the No. 4 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, is quickly proving her worth for the Washington Mystics. Despite a narrow loss to the Dallas Wings, the Mystics are off to a strong start this season with a 2-1 record.

Iriafen contributed significantly to the team’s performance, posting 10 points and 12 rebounds in the recent game at the Chase Center, making her the only rookie this season to achieve back-to-back double-doubles. Currently, she averages nearly 14 points per game, shooting over 51% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line. Her 10 rebounds per game lead the team.

The anticipation leading into the season focused mainly on potential stars like Paige Bueckers and Aaliyah Edwards, who were the top two picks. However, both players have struggled early on, with Bueckers’ team, the New York Liberty, starting 0-3.

In contrast, Iriafen’s performance is drawing attention, as she outshines other rookies. “Conversations will be had” if she continues this level of play, positioning her for possible All-Rookie honors.

The Mystics now look forward to continuing their momentum with Iriafen contributing significantly each game, showcasing the potential that made her a top draft pick.
