OXFORD, Miss. — Chloe Kitts recorded a triple-double and Sania Feagin scored a career-high 22 points, propelling South Carolina to a 75-59 victory over Ole Miss on Thursday night.

Kitts finished the game with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the ninth triple-double in South Carolina program history. Her standout performance included a career-high in assists and an impressive four steals. The junior forward’s efforts helped the Gamecocks pull away after a competitive first half.

In a critical moment during the fourth quarter, head coach Dawn Staley called a timeout, drawing up a play for Kitts to secure her tenth assist. This led to a layup from freshman Joyce Edwards, after which Kitts signaled for a much-needed rest.

“It was the hard way,” Staley stated after the game. “It was playmaking, it was determination, it was will. It was Chloe Kitts. Kitts has this in her.”

Kitts is now the eighth Gamecock in history to achieve a triple-double, joining elite company including Aliyah Boston, who recorded two triple-doubles in her collegiate career.

Sania Feagin was instrumental in the win, supporting Kitts with her career-high 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting. Feagin also contributed six rebounds and five blocks, showcasing her defensive and offensive skills. The duo’s dynamic performance in the paint proved too much for Ole Miss to handle, as South Carolina dominated with 46 points in the paint.

In contrast, Ole Miss struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, with the Rebels converting just 12 points off of 15 turnovers, significantly below their average of 23.5 points from 21.6 turnovers this season. Meanwhile, South Carolina seized the moment, scoring 22 points from Ole Miss’ errors.

Sira Thienou led the Rebels with 15 points, though her impact waned in the second half where she managed just two points. Christeen Iwuala added 10 points for Ole Miss, while MiLaysia Fulwiley chipped in nine points.

The Gamecocks outperformed in key areas: they tallied 20 assists on 29 baskets, and shot well from the free-throw line with 14-of-17 conversions. However, their three-point shooting was a concern, going just 3-of-6.

Announced attendance at the SJB Pavilion was 5,064, as South Carolina donned their script Carolina alternate uniforms, improving their record to 2-1 in those attire.

The Gamecocks conclude their regular season on Sunday against Kentucky, looking to build momentum heading into the SEC Tournament next week.

“We play hard, there is no questioning this, but talent can only take you so far,” said Ole Miss coach after the game. “We need to continue to grow and learn from these experiences.”
