Knicks Vs Nets Game Summary

NEW YORK — The New York Knicks dominated the Brooklyn Nets 134-98 on Sunday night, marking their fourth consecutive victory and keeping their perfect home record intact at 6-0.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges each contributed 19 points. The Knicks’ win extended their winning streak against the Nets to 11 games, matching their longest streak in the series history.

Mitchell Robinson provided solid support with 16 points, and Josh Hart added 8 points and 8 rebounds in just 16 minutes of play. The Nets struggled, with Dorian Finney-Smith scoring 25 points, but they fell to a dismal record of 1-9, having lost two straight games.

New York’s offense showed strength, making 54% of their shots from the field and creating an 18-4 advantage in fast-break points. They quickly established an early lead, jumping ahead 8-0 and closing out the first quarter with an 11-0 run to lead 40-22.

In the second quarter, the Knicks maintained control, heading into halftime with a comfortable 77-62 lead. This performance followed an impressive outing against Minnesota, where the Knicks scored 83 points in the second half.

New York opened the third quarter with a 12-0 run, firmly extending their advantage to 89-62. The lead peaked at 107-70 as the Knicks continued to dominate on both ends of the court.

The Knicks’ current winning streak over the Nets has been in effect since February 13, 2023, a streak that became possible after high-profile trades before the start of that run. Historically, the Nets had defeated the Knicks 11 straight times in the mid-1980s.

Next up, the Nets will host Toronto on Tuesday, while the Knicks are set to host Memphis the same day.
