Legendary Brothel Owner Stormy Summers Passes Away At 77

Legendary Adelaide brothel owner Stormy Summers, who made headlines for her advocacy to legalize sex work and her unconventional bid for lord mayor, has sadly passed away at the age of 77.

Stormy Summers, a prominent figure in Adelaide’s underground scene, breathed her last at Lyell McEwin Hospital this past Sunday, just days before her 78th birthday.

A close confidant, Martin Herren, shared with The Advertiser the suddenness of Stormy Summers’ demise, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.

Known for her bold political aspirations and her distinct black BMW featuring the personalized license plate ‘STORMY’, Ms. Summers left an indelible mark on the city’s landscape.
