Lily Gladstone Defends Devery Jacobs' Criticism Of 'flower Moon' Movie

Lily Gladstone, star of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon‘, recently spoke out in defense of her ‘Reservation Dogs’ co-star Devery Jacobs, who criticized the film directed by Martin Scorsese. ‘Flower Moon’ portrays the ‘reign of terror’, a series of unsolved murders targeting the Osage tribe in order to steal their wealth.

In a series of tweets, Jacobs expressed her discomfort with the movie, calling it ‘hellfire’. She explained that the film’s focus on the white killers talking about their plans left little room for the experiences of the Osage characters.

Gladstone, who portrays Mollie Burkhart in the film, shared that she and Jacobs are friends. She believes that Jacobs’ reaction comes from the trauma Native women feel upon seeing these atrocities depicted on screen for the first time. Gladstone emphasized the importance of the Osage people’s perspective and reaction to the film.

Gladstone received the Golden Globe award for her performance in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, and she is expected to be nominated for an Oscar as well.
