Milos Kerkez Bournemouth Left Back Premier League

BOURNEMOUTH, England — Liverpool has emerged as the frontrunner to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, with the 21-year-old Hungarian international reportedly favoring a move to Anfield over rival Premier League clubs. Talks have begun between Liverpool and Kerkez’s representatives, though Bournemouth remains reluctant to sell during the January transfer window.

According to reports from The I Paper‘s Pete Hall and Mark Douglas, Manchester City and Manchester United have also expressed interest in Kerkez. However, the young defender is said to prefer reuniting with Bournemouth’s former director of football, Richard Hughes, who now holds a key role at Liverpool. Kerkez’s international teammate, Dominik Szoboszlai, also plays for the Reds, further strengthening the appeal of a move to Merseyside.

Bournemouth, who recently signed left-back Julio Soler from Argentine club Lanus for up to £11.5 million, are under no immediate pressure to sell Kerkez. However, sources indicate that the Cherries would consider offers in the region of £50 million. No formal bids have been submitted as of yet.

Kerkez, who has drawn comparisons to Liverpool legend Andy Robertson, has been a standout performer for Bournemouth this season. His potential arrival at Anfield could address Liverpool’s need for a long-term solution at left-back, with Robertson turning 31 in March and deputy Kostas Tsimikas viewed as a rotational option rather than a first-choice starter.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has also been linked with Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri as an alternative target for the left-back position. The club has reportedly dismissed rumors of a potential swap deal involving Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo and Liverpool’s Ben Doak.

As the transfer window progresses, Liverpool’s pursuit of Kerkez could intensify, with Bournemouth’s valuation likely to play a decisive role in negotiations. The Hungarian’s preference for a move to Anfield, coupled with his existing connections to key figures at the club, positions Liverpool as the favorite to secure his signature.
