Lizzo Addresses Fitness Journey and Responds to Ozempic Rumors
On Tuesday, renowned artist Lizzo showcased her ongoing fitness journey through a striking Instagram post, where she poses in lingerie from her own shapewear brand, Yitty. The singer, whose real name is Melissa Jefferson, has been documenting her health and fitness regimen over the past year, captivating her audience with regular updates.
Lizzo, 36, donned a black bra and matching briefs from her inclusive brand which emphasizes body positivity for all shapes and sizes. The artist, known for her hit song “About Damn Time,” complemented her look with grey jogging bottoms and a hoodie, participating in playful photo moments for her followers. She captioned the post, “Is it fall yet???? #lizzoxyitty,” charming her audience with her candid demeanor.
This latest post follows recent discussions where Lizzo addressed rumors concerning her weight loss. In particular, she has tackled allegations that she used Ozempic, a medication often associated with weight loss results, to achieve her new physique. These speculations arose after she shared a clip dressed in a colorful satin robe with a text overlay stating, “When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
Lizzo disclosed in a March interview with The New York Times that her weight loss has been gradual, attributing it to consistent efforts in training and maintaining a calorie deficit. She remarked on the slow nature of natural weight loss, explaining, “I don’t really see it because if anyone who’s on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don’t really notice it until you notice it.”
In recent social media interactions, Lizzo openly shared personal reflections on her dietary habits, acknowledging feelings of guilt when overindulging. She expressed these sentiments in a touching post, dressed casually and advocating for mental wellness alongside physical health, concluding with words of encouragement for those on similar paths.
Furthermore, Lizzo announced in August that she would be taking a ‘gap year’ to focus on her well-being, following a series of legal challenges from former employees, which she has denied. The lawsuits filed against her include allegations of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.
