Lpga Dow Championship Midland 2025

Midland, Michigan — The LPGA is gearing up for its annual Dow Championship this weekend at Midland Country Club. The tournament, featuring 72 two-player teams, promises to deliver excitement as golfers compete in a unique team format.

This year’s event follows the Meijer LPGA Classic, held two weeks ago near Grand Rapids. Players will participate in alternate shot format during the first and third rounds, while the second and fourth rounds will utilize better ball play.

The competition includes a 36-hole cut, ensuring only the top 33 teams and ties advance. The purse for this year’s tournament totals $3.3 million, an increase of $300,000 from last year. Last year’s winners, Ruoning Yin and Jeeno Thitikul, took home $365,305 each, but this year’s champions are set to earn $402,691 each.

Yin and Thitikul will return to defend their title, as they achieved an impressive score of 22-under par last year. Interestingly, in the tournament’s five-year history, no team has ever repeated as champions. Former winners, including Jennifer Kupcho, Cheyenne Knight, and Elizabeth Skozol, are also competing in this year’s championship.

Golf Channel and the NBC Sports app will provide coverage throughout all four rounds, making sure fans don’t miss any action. The LPGA’s unique team match play format generates a special kind of excitement, as players collaborate to try to achieve victory together.
