Lsu Football South Carolina Game

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU will host South Carolina in a highly anticipated night game on October 11, as announced by the Southeastern Conference on Monday. The specific kickoff time will be decided after all SEC games conclude on October 4.

The LSU-South Carolina matchup will air at either 6 p.m. CDT on ESPN, 6:30 p.m. on ABC, or 6:45 p.m. on the SEC Network. LSU is currently ranked No. 13 and looks to rebound from a 24-19 loss to Ole Miss. They have an overall record of 4-1 and are 1-1 in conference play.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly expressed disappointment following the recent loss, citing a lack of “complementary football.” He emphasized that both the offense and defense need to support each other to secure victories in the tough SEC.

“You have to be able to complement your offense and defense,” Kelly said. “When our offense started to move the ball, our defense couldn’t get the stop.”

Following a bye week, the Tigers will re-enter the field, hoping to bounce back against the Gamecocks. South Carolina, under quarterback LaNorris Sellers, also enjoys a break this week and has a record of 3-2 overall.

LSU has a strong home-field advantage, boasting a 22-2 record at Tiger Stadium under Kelly. The Tigers are 3-0 at home this season, and the upcoming game against South Carolina will mark another opportunity to solidify their positioning in the SEC.

LSU and South Carolina last faced off in 2024, with LSU snatching a 36-33 victory in Columbia. As SEC play heats up, the Tigers are eager to return to winning form as they prepare for this crucial matchup.

“This team has to click on all cylinders,” Kelly added. “I believe in this team and I love this group. They are really good football players, and we have to get them complementing each other on a daily basis.”
