Lucky Lottery Players Celebrate Big Wins in South Carolina

LANCASTER, S.C. (WBTV) — Two lucky South Carolina lottery players have made headlines this week after claiming significant wins, marking them as local success stories in the world of scratch-off games.
A Lancaster County man recently won $75,000 from a scratch-off ticket purchased in Lancaster. The winner described the experience as “exciting” and was further thrilled to recall previous victories, including a stunning $250,000 win. He elaborated, “I always give to the church after I win,” attributing some of his luck to his charitable acts.
This is not his first brush with fortune; over the years, he has also collected a $20,000 prize among numerous smaller winnings. Lottery officials noted his unique consistency in winning large amounts, a trend that continues to captivate the local community.
Meanwhile, in Rock Hill, a York County man had his own lottery surprise. Initially, he believed he had won just $100 from a $3 Bingo-themed scratch-off ticket. However, upon visiting the store the next day to cash his ticket, he learned he had actually won the game’s top prize of $74,900.
“If I’d known what I won, I’d had the ticket under my pillow,” he remarked, explaining the situation. He recounted that, due to dim light conditions, it had been difficult to read the ticket properly. “I threw the ticket on the car’s seat and went to bed,” he said, clearly astounded at the unexpected windfall.
Despite the life-changing win, he stated, “I still went on to work after finding out. It’s not enough to quit.” His journey reflects a sense of practicality and has resonated with many locals sharing in the excitement.
Both men’s stories have not only inspired their communities but also served as a reminder of the potential rewards of playing the lottery with recent claims of substantial sums.
