Maharaja Trophy Returns with Exciting Matches
The much-awaited Maharaja Trophy is back! Starting Sunday, August 15, the Karnataka State Cricket Association is ready to kick off the third season of this exciting tournament. With six teams—Gulbarga Mystics, Bengaluru Blasters, Mysore Warriors, Hubli Tigers, Mangalore Dragons, and Shivamogga Lions—vying for the title, cricket fans are in for a treat.
This year, the tournament will follow a double round-robin format, meaning each team will play against every other team twice. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, with the finals set to take place on September 1. The Hubli Tigers, the defending champions, are back to defend their title and are eager to make their mark once again.
All 33 matches will be hosted at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium, with live broadcasts available on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports Kannada. Additionally, fans can catch the action live on the FanCode app. Each day will feature two matches: the first starting at 3 PM and the second at 7 PM.
The excitement begins on August 15 with Bengaluru Blasters facing Gulbarga Mystics at 3 PM, followed by Shivamogga Lions taking on Mysore Warriors at 7 PM. Fans are eagerly anticipating each match as the tournament unfolds, showcasing the best of regional cricket talent.
