Cole Young Mlb Debut

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Mariners have announced the call-up of Cole Young, a highly touted infielder, for his Major League Baseball debut. Young, drafted first overall by the Mariners in 2022 out of North Allegheny High School, will be making his debut against the Minnesota Twins today. This move comes after a tough week for the Mariners, providing a much-needed spark for the team.

Young has made quite the impression in AAA Tacoma, showcasing his skills after an initial slow start to the season. He is expected to bat in the eighth spot this evening. While Young’s arrival is thrilling for fans, the Mariners are also welcoming back pitcher Bryce Miller. Miller, who was sidelined with an elbow issue, has confirmed that he is healthy to pitch this afternoon.

Team members have noted that Miller initially dealt with inflammation, but further assessments revealed only a small bone spur that should not impact the remainder of the season. Dan Wilson, a Mariners commentator, emphasized the importance of camaraderie among the pitching staff, stating, “Sometimes when you’re around each other and you’re not in a competitive situation, you gain a different perspective.” Miller aims to throw around 70 to 75 pitches in his return.

The Mariners will face Twins’ Bailey Ober, who has consistently proven to be an underrated pitcher in the league. In roster changes, Leo Rivas and Casey Legumina have been sent down to make space for Young and Miller, with Big Will Klein designated for assignment. As anticipation builds up for fans, the first pitch is scheduled for 4:15 PM PT and will be broadcast on FOX Sports and the MLB TV app.
