Michigan High School Football Finals Set for Ford Field This Weekend

DETROIT, Mich. — For the first time, the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Football Finals will be streamed exclusively on the NFHS Network this weekend. This year, all ten finals will determine the champions in the state across eight divisions.

The finals will take place over two days. The 8-Player Finals kick off Saturday at the Superior Dome on the northern Michigan campus, while the 11-Player Finals will be held at Ford Field in Detroit on November 28 and November 30.

Ford Field will also host an NFL game on November 27, when the Detroit Lions face the Green Bay Packers. The following day, Michigan State will compete against Maryland as part of the Big Ten matchup.

Fans can subscribe to the NFHS Network for $13.99 per month to watch the games live, with broadcast teams announced for each game segment.

The schedule for the finals features several exciting matchups. On Friday, November 28, the games include:

  • Division 8: Harbor Beach (13-0) vs. Hudson (13-0) at 9:30 a.m.
  • Division 4: Dearborn Divine Child (12-1) vs. Hudsonville Unity Christian (12-1) at 12:30 p.m.
  • Division 6: Kingsley (11-2) vs. Jackson Lumen Christi (10-3) at 4 p.m.
  • Division 2: Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (10-2) vs. Dexter (12-1) at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, November 30, the matchups are:

  • Division 7: Schoolcraft (11-2) vs. Menominee (13-0) at 9:30 a.m.
  • Division 3: Mount Pleasant (13-0) vs. DeWitt (13-0) at 12:30 p.m.
  • Division 5: Grand Rapids West Catholic (12-1) vs. Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (11-2) at 4 p.m.
  • Division 1: Detroit Cass Tech (13-0) vs. Detroit Catholic Central (13-0) at 7 p.m.

Teams with undefeated records will take the field, increasing the stakes for fans and players alike. Notably, both Detroit Catholic Central and Jackson Lumen Christi are making their 18th state finals appearances.
