Legendary boxer Mike Tyson and former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs recently had a playful and unexpected street encounter in their hometown of Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Briggs, who joined Tyson on a tour of the neighborhood where Tyson spent much of his childhood, found themselves in a lighthearted scuffle amidst a crowd of locals.

As the friendly banter escalated, Tyson, known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet,’ playfully challenged Briggs by ripping off his shirt and stepping into a mock fighting stance, a sight that delighted onlookers.

Not one to back down from a good time, Briggs quickly followed suit, shedding his own shirt and engaging in a mock wrestling match with Tyson.

While the two former fighters exchanged light slaps and moves, it was all in good fun, with both men sharing laughter and smiles throughout the impromptu skirmish.

Tyson took to social media to share a video of the playful scuffle, captioning it with admiration for Briggs, referring to him as ‘Brownsville’s finest always ready for a brawl.’

Briggs also posted another angle of the friendly encounter, adding humor to the situation and teasing a physical altercation in front of the iconic Atlantic Towers building.

The reunion between Tyson and Briggs in the heart of Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood served as a nostalgic moment for both men, who have deep ties to the area and its rich boxing history.
