MLB The Show 25 Trailer Reveals Legendary Roster and Negro Leagues Content

San Diego, CA – MLB The Show 25 is set to launch on March 18, 2025, featuring an impressive roster of baseball legends and a fresh focus on the history of the Negro Leagues. The latest trailer showcases key figures such as James ‘Cool Papa’ Bell, Norman ‘Turkey’ Stearnes, and Wilber ‘Bullet Joe’ Rogan as part of the Storylines: The Negro Leagues, Season 3.
This installment will introduce Hall of Famer Ted Williams into the game’s lineup, alongside baseball icons like Roger Clemens and Manny Ramirez. San Diego Studio has confirmed that the game will include over 200 legends, allowing players to experience baseball history in a unique and interactive way.
“Ted Williams instantly makes this MLB The Show 25 roster the greatest one we have ever assembled,” said Stephen Hass, Senior Manager of Live Design. “He joins more than 200 legends to create a Mount Rushmore of baseball royalty.” Players can expect to also interact with returning legends such as Ken Griffey Jr., Derek Jeter, and Satchel Paige.
Williams, known for his illustrious career with the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1960, is celebrated as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. “Ted Williams’ legacy continues to captivate baseball fans across generations,” said Eric Abel, President of Ted Williams Family Enterprises. “MLB The Show 25 is a perfect partnership to honor Ted’s legacy.”
In addition to the star-studded roster, players can explore the impactful history of the Negro Leagues through the Storylines, narrated by Bob Kendrick, President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. This mode aims to educate players about the contributions of Negro Leagues legends to the fabric of American baseball.
Season 3 of Storylines: The Negro Leagues will be available at launch, with additional content set to be released in April 2025. The game will also include players from previous seasons of Storylines.
MLB The Show 25 will feature several new gameplay modes, including a revamped Diamond Dynasty that allows players to utilize their favorite cards without seasonal restrictions, and a new game mode called Diamond Quest.
As part of the game’s 20th anniversary, MLB The Show 25 will feature young stars Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson on the cover, symbolizing the future of baseball. Users selecting the Digital Deluxe Edition will gain early access on March 14 and be eligible for exclusive rewards additional to the standard game offering.
