Montell Douglas, popularly known as ‘Fire’ from the television show ‘Gladiators‘, is now set to dazzle in a different arena. The multi-talented athlete is part of the latest season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘, aligning with the show’s 20th anniversary and its renewed focus on contestant welfare.
Douglas’s entrance to the world of entertainment follows a remarkable athletic career that spanned both track and field and winter sports. She represented Great Britain as a sprinter in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, reaching the second round in the women’s 100 meters. Moreover, she once held the British women’s record for the fastest 100 meters sprint, clocking it in 11.05 seconds. Later, she transitioned to bobsleigh, showing her versatility by finishing in the top 10 during her debut in the 2017 Bobsleigh World Cup, and she competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
