KNOXVILLE, TN – The No. 19 Nebraska Cornhuskers softball team will face the Tennessee Lady Volunteers in the super regional of the 2025 NCAA Softball Tournament, starting Friday night. This best-of-three series will take place at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

Nebraska enters the matchup with a record of 42-13, including a 17-5 mark in the Big Ten. They secured their spot in the super regional by defeating Southeastern Louisiana and UConn in the regional round. The Cornhuskers boast a team batting average of .356 and average 8.2 runs per game while allowing only 3.0 runs per game with an ERA of 2.53.

The Lady Volunteers hold an overall record of 43-14 and a 15-9 SEC mark. They advanced to the super regional by winning the Knoxville Regional without a loss, defeating Miami (Ohio) 17-0 and Ohio State twice—4-2 and 5-0. Tennessee’s team batting average stands at .305, with an average of 6.1 runs scored per game and a remarkable ERA of 1.73.

This series marks the second meeting between the schools this season. Nebraska previously defeated Tennessee 7-1 during their season opener at the NFCA Leadoff Classic on February 6 in Clearwater, Florida.

The game will begin at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2. Fans can also stream the game on ESPN+. Jordy Bahl has been a standout player for the Cornhuskers, pitching in all three regional games and hitting a home run in each of her four at-bats. She is eager to help her hometown team bring home a national title.

This super regional matchup promises to be an exciting contest as both teams aim for the College World Series.
