Nevada Wolf Pack Vs Air Force Falcons Basketball Game

RENO, Nev. — The Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball team hosted the Air Force Falcons on Tuesday night at Lawlor Events Center, aiming to extend their recent momentum after snapping a four-game losing streak. The game, broadcast on Nevada Sports Net, tipped off at 7 p.m. with Nevada entering at 9-7 overall and 1-4 in the Mountain West, while Air Force struggled at 3-13 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

Nevada’s recent victory over Fresno State, a 77-66 overtime win, provided a much-needed boost. Nick Davidson led the charge with a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Kobe Sanders contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. The Wolf Pack dominated the offensive glass, securing 18 offensive rebounds, their highest since February 2024.

Air Force, on the other hand, entered the game on a six-game losing streak, including a 69-62 defeat to San Jose State. Despite Ethan Taylor‘s strong performance of 16 points, six assists, and three steals, the Falcons have struggled to find consistency this season, averaging just 63.1 points per game compared to Nevada’s 75.2.

Historically, Nevada has dominated this matchup, winning nine of their last 10 games against Air Force. Their most recent meeting in January 2024 resulted in a 67-54 victory for the Wolf Pack. Oddsmakers favored Nevada heavily, with a 19.5-point spread and an over/under set at 128 points.

As the game unfolded, Air Force managed to overcome an early deficit, leading 35-33 after the first quarter. However, with Nevada’s offensive firepower and recent resurgence, the Falcons faced an uphill battle to avoid their seventh consecutive loss.
