INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The 2026 NFL Draft landscape is shifting swiftly as the college football season enters its fifth week. Notably, the quarterback class has experienced significant changes with prospects making statements on the field.

Fernando Mendoza from Indiana is emerging as a top contender for the first overall pick. This past weekend, he dazzled against Illinois, completing 21 of 23 passes for 267 yards and five touchdowns, raising his season tally to 14 touchdown passes without any interceptions.
