SAN JOSE, California (June 13, 2025) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced that the 2025 NWSL Championship will take place at PayPal Park in San Jose on Saturday, November 22. This venue, which is home to Bay FC and the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer, will host the championship match starting at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. The event will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for the fourth consecutive year.

Tickets for the match will go on sale in August, and fans can sign up for early access to a presale. Additionally, there will be a Google Pixel Superfan Sweepstakes, offering one winner a trip for two to the event along with a Google Pixel prize package.

“We’re thrilled to bring the NWSL Championship back to the West Coast, particularly to a region with a rich history in women’s soccer such as the Bay Area,” said NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman. She commended the local community’s love for the game and highlighted the arrival of Bay FC as contributing to the event’s significance.

The Bay Area has produced renowned players like Julie Foudy, Alex Morgan, and emergency legends such as Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, and Aly Wagner. With strong collegiate programs at schools like Santa Clara and Stanford, the region has a storied legacy in women’s soccer.

Chastain, co-founder of Bay FC, expressed excitement about hosting the championship. “The history of women’s soccer runs deeply and strongly in the Bay Area,” she said. “We are thrilled to host the next set of champions in the NWSL final in the place women’s soccer calls home.”

This year, the NWSL has experienced significant growth, building on a record-breaking 2024 season that saw a 285% jump in broadcast viewership and attendance exceeding two million fans. The 2025 playoffs will feature eight clubs competing in a new format starting November 7-9, with matches airing on various networks, including ESPN/ABC and CBS.

The championship will be surrounded by various events, including Fan Fest and a Skills Challenge, with further details expected closer to the event date. PayPal Park, which opened in 2015 and holds around 18,000 spectators, is designed to provide an excellent viewing experience for soccer fans.
