The community of Big River First Nation, Saskatchewan, is mourning the loss of Wallace Philup Littlewolfe, a cherished member who passed away on September 26, 2024, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Littlewolfe’s passing coincided with his birthdate, a detail that has touched many who knew him.

A Wake Service in Littlewolfe’s honor took place at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024. Friends, family, and community members gathered at the Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School Gym in Big River First Nation to pay their respects and celebrate his life. This was followed by a Funeral Service held at 11:00 AM the next day, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the same venue. The community came together to share stories and memories, underscoring Littlewolfe’s impactful presence in their lives.

Following the services, interment proceeded at the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery, also located in Big River First Nation, where Littlewolfe was laid to rest. The collective farewell held in his honor reflects the deep connection he had with his community and their combined grief at his passing.

Funeral arrangements were managed by Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium, with Lynn Anderson serving as the Funeral Director. Those wishing to extend condolences to Littlewolfe’s family are encouraged to reach out as described in the service announcements.
