The Office Australia Set to Premiere

The beloved mockumentary series, The Office, is heading down under with a fun twist! Prime Video just announced that The Office Australia will be available for streaming on October 18. All eight episodes will drop at once, making it perfect for a binge-watch.

This adaptation is especially exciting because it features Felicity Ward as the very first female lead in the series. She’ll be playing the role of Hannah Howard, the managing director of a packaging company called Flinley Craddick.

The plot kicks off when Hannah receives gut-wrenching news from head office: her branch is shutting down, and everyone will need to work from home. In her effort to keep her “work family” together, Hannah goes into full survival mode, making wild promises to prevent the closure.

The staff, played by a fantastic group of actors including Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, and Shari Sebbens, will find themselves navigating Hannah’s quirky plans and the high-pressure targets that seem almost impossible. It’s sure to be a rollercoaster of laughs and craziness!

This new series is produced by BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand, Bunya Entertainment, and Amazon MGM Studios. The project was put together by writers Julie De Fina and Jackie van Beek, who are also on board as executive producers. Fans of The Office can look forward to checking out this unique adaptation!
