Oregon Ducks Wide Receiver Dakorien Moore Injury

IOWA CITY, IowaOregon will compete against No. 20 Iowa without its leading wide receiver, Dakorien Moore, who has been ruled out for Saturday’s game at Kinnick Stadium due to an injury sustained in practice earlier this week.

Moore, a true freshman and the No. 4 recruit in the country, has made a significant impact this season, recording 28 receptions for 443 yards and three touchdowns. His absence will be felt deeply, especially in a challenging matchup against Iowa.

Oregon also has tight end Kenyon Sadiq, right tackle Alex Harkey, and inside linebacker Devon Jackson listed as questionable for the game. The Ducks struggled with injuries leading up to this critical contest, and Moore’s loss adds to the challenges they face.

The Ducks were hoping that the bye week would help them recover from injuries, but with key players out, they must now rely on their depth. In previous games, the Ducks have had success, but playing in Kinnick Stadium, known for its tough environment, will put pressure on their remaining offensive starters.

Even though Moore is out, the Ducks plan to adopt a “next man up” mentality. Florida State transfer Malik Benson and Gary Bryant Jr. will lead the receiving corps, which has experience playing on big stages. Both players must step up to support Brewer in Moore’s absence.

When asked about leadership on the team, Moore emphasized a team-first mindset. He stated, “This is not about me. This is about the team. This is about the support, the fans, the people who have always been around here. It’s bigger than me.”

As Oregon prepares for this crucial game against Iowa, the hope is that the remaining players can rally together and mitigate the impact of Moore’s absence while aiming to secure a crucial victory.
