Oregon Ducks Basketball Game

Las Vegas, NV — The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team will take on the San Diego State Aztecs tonight at 8:00 p.m. PST as part of the 2025 Players Era Festival. The Ducks, who entered the tournament as reigning champions, suffered a tough 84-73 defeat to the No. 22 Auburn Tigers on Monday.

Oregon struggled with turnovers against Auburn, committing a total of 18. Guard Jackson Shelstad had an off night, shooting only four-of-17 from the field and finishing with nine points. Meanwhile, teammate Kaden Bittle could not find his rhythm, and this has raised concerns heading into tonight’s matchup.

Despite these challenges, the Ducks’ leading scorer against Auburn, who netted 22 points, proved he can produce under pressure. The Ducks will need to get better performances from both Bittle and Shelstad to have a shot against the Aztecs.

San Diego State is also looking to rebound after losing their own opening game of the tournament against the No. 7 Michigan by a significant margin, 94-54. The Aztecs’ Miles Byrd and Magoon Gwath struggled against Michigan, combining for just 12 points.

Oregon’s defense will need to focus on Byrd and Gwath tonight in order to secure a victory. Live updates and analysis during the game will be available via their official blog.

Despite their continuing turnover troubles, the Ducks’ Shelstad has found a spark early in the game by hitting three triples within the first four minutes. Tonight’s game is broadcast on TNT, and the Ducks aim to turn things around against San Diego State at the Michelob ULTRA Arena.
