The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is set to host the highly anticipated Game II of the State of Origin series as New South Wales takes on Queensland in Victoria.

This will mark the first time in six years that the Origin spectacle will light up the famous MCG stadium, with the Blues looking to replicate their 2018 victory on Queensland soil.

Game II is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, following the opener in Sydney, setting the stage for a thrilling clash between the two traditional rugby league powerhouses.

The ticket prices for the event range from $45 for restricted view tickets to $289 for Diamond level seats, catering to a wide range of rugby league fans and supporters.

Origin fans can secure their tickets through the official ticketing platform.

The last time the MCG hosted a State of Origin match, a record crowd of 87,122 witnessed New South Wales emerge victorious with a 22-12 triumph over Queensland, breathing life into the series.

Historically, the Blues have held the upper hand at the ‘G, with Queensland managing just one win in five visits to the iconic stadium since 1994.

Looking ahead to this clash, both teams have faced challenges with injuries, with Michael Maguire leading a new era for the New South Wales side against the experienced Queensland outfit under Billy Slater’s coaching.

New selection dramas unfolded as Maguire made last-minute changes to his squad, including a surprise call-up for a former skipper, while Queensland grappled with injuries in their forward pack.
