Green Bay Packers Travel Delay

Green Bay, Wisconsin – The Green Bay Packers faced significant travel challenges on Saturday, just ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The team’s flight to Phoenix was delayed by more than five hours due to a mechanical issue with one of their charter planes.

The Packers typically use two charter planes for their games. The staff’s flight departed on time at 1:15 p.m. CT, while the second plane carrying most players and coaches was scheduled to leave at 1:30 p.m. CT. However, a problem was discovered that prevented the second flight from taking off with the first plane.

According to a source, instead of resolving the issue quickly, the Packers had to arrange for a new plane to come from Detroit. Ultimately, the delayed flight pushed back its departure to 7:05 p.m. CT, landing in Phoenix at 8:28 p.m. MST, which was five hours and 14 minutes later than expected.

This lengthy travel day stretched the team’s schedule. After boarding around 1 p.m. CT, the players did not exit the plane in Arizona until about 11 p.m. CT. Furthermore, they had to take a bus from Sky Harbor International Airport to their hotel, making it a grueling day for the team.

The Packers are set to play against the Cardinals, who will likely be without their starting quarterback Kyler Murray, who is recovering from a foot injury. This will be Murray’s second consecutive game absent from the lineup.

Kickoff for the Packers vs. Cardinals game is set for 1:25 p.m. MT. The Packers are currently favored by seven points in the matchup.
