On September 18, 2024, Parkway Drive commenced their much-anticipated Australian tour with a spectacular performance at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The band, recognized as the country’s most successful heavy music export, captivated the crowd with a career-spanning set that reaffirmed their dominant status in the music scene.

This tour, described by vocalist Winston McCall as “one for the history books,” features two nights in Brisbane before moving on to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and concluding at Perth’s RAC Arena on September 30, 2024. These performances promise to be the largest of their kind by an Australian heavy band.

The first night’s performance included songs from their hit album “Horizons,” including the return of “Carrion” and “Idols And Anchors,” and the live debut of the title track since 2018. A notable highlight was “Boneyards,” featuring guest performance by Michael Crafter of Confession and I Killed The Prom Queen.

In addition to revisiting their debut album “Killing With A Smile” with a medley of popular tracks, Parkway Drive also featured songs from their more recent albums “Ire” and “Reverence,” including two selections from their latest album “Darker Still.”

The diverse setlist comprised songs such as “Carrion,” “Prey,” “Glitch,” and “Wild Eyes,” showcasing the band’s ability to balance nostalgia with their evolving sound. The inclusion of new setlist arrangements, enhanced production, and pyrotechnics added to the grandeur of the event, setting a new benchmark for live heavy music performances.
